Whitfield Village Apartments
Kevin Page, Property ManagerWe just wanted to let you know how much we appreciate the value of your area lighting products which we installed 26 years ago. Out of over 100 unit we have replace the lamps – 2 times, very few ballasts, and 1-2 lens. Our wooden poles holding your units are now needing to be replaced, while the lights are still good. These products have saved us a lot of energy and have paid for themselves over and over again We wish you continued success and appreciate your great product.
El Cajon Ford
Mike ZigglerOn the 7 month anniversary of our Magnaray Lighting System, I wanted to let you know that the lighting system is far superior to the Metal Halide System that you replaced. Your new system resulted in 78% energy savings (17,175 pre-profit watts to 4,028 after retrofit watts), but was doubled our light output, and allowed for increased sales due to increased light levels, and the quality of lighting our cars easier to sell. As the used car manager, I would like to personally thank you for our improved lighting system, and after 7 months, it has not diminished in any way.
UNICOI Springs Camp Resort
James OrrWe sincerely appreciate your assistance in providing some lampholders for your #W6S lighting fixtures we use for night time campsite identification. We have some 300 units that were originally installed in 1984, and still function well, with just normal maintenance. Our campers appreciate the low glare, but sufficient light level these units provide, and we appreciate their durability. We look forward to your visit to see if you can assist us further in our energy conservation efforts, in others areas of our campground.
GSE Associates, Inc.
Engineers, Architects, Planners, SurveyorsWe wanted to tell you how pleased we, and our client are, with the Magnaray lighting system installation, we designed. At first we were very leery of using your fluorescent, Wet Location units, because we did not think any fluorescent product could produce the results we wanted. Your agent, Bill Lindsey, of the Curtis Stout Agency, in Harahan convinced us to talk with your sales manager, who verbally swayed our opinion enough, to listen to your recommendations. The job is excellent, uses “White” light, that doesn’t color shift with age, and comes on instantly, which is important for this type of facility. The visual results keep glare controlled, so employees who perform tasks, can function efficiently, while the facility saves lots of energy, when compared to the originally designed HID system. We calculate there will be maintenance cost savings, as well as energy savings, with increased safety, and improved employee performance, and overall client satisfaction. We plan to specify these high quality products on other jobs. Please feel free to have any engineer or client call us to hear first hand about this success story.
Electrical Distributors, Co.
Bob CubbonWe at Electrical Distributors Company, San Jose, CA thought you might be interested in what happened at a recent sales meeting with your Agent Bill Higgins. He demonstrated your #W1PL13 – 13 watt flood which appeared to do a good job. We then lit up one of the cheaper plastic floods and compared it to the Magnaray, side by side. The plastic unit looked like a night light compared to the Magnaray unit. We look forward to selling the entire Magnaray product line and can easily see why Magnaray is a real value in today’s market. Yes it costs more, but it also is worth more. Your five year warranty shows your commitment to product excellence. Our sales staff will appreciate not having to make “call backs”! We look forward to a long mutually beneficial relationship.
Culpeper Tennis Center
Joe HollowayWe just installed the last of the #W4PL5096 inserts into your old housings. Once we got going, it was fairly simple, and what a difference! We really like the new, twin T5 HIF lamps. We had been warned about using linear T5’s in enclosed fixtures, so we were happy to hear that you use the better, twin T5 lamp, with a much better lampholder. The first units we used in 1986 did a good job for 10 years, and then we started losing those remote, VHO ballasts, and lamp life also suffered substantially at that point. We now have better light, and what appears to be “more light” than what we had with the older VHO lamped units, plus, now we are saving even more money – over 50% more now. We have a total of 74 units for 3 courts, at 212 watts each, and it does a great job. We were very pleased that you have stayed in touch with us throughout the years, keeping track of our system, and future plans. We wish you the best, and feel free to drop by anytime you are in the area to view a really nice lighting project. Anyone who wishes to see one of the nicest tennis court lighting systems is welcome to drop by at anytime.
Force Computers, Inc.
Dave HillWe now have installed all the Magnaray fluorescent lighting fixtures you pruposed. Two of the #W2PL40 (85 watts each) replaces a 1,500 watt quartz and does a better job. The 6-#W2PL40 installed at the roof line (38′ above grade) can replace our Low Pressure Sodium pole units (3-90 watt LPS/pole, 3 poles) and provide as much if not more see able lighting. We look forward to lower energy and maintenance costs and sure do like the “White” light that Magnaray fixtures provide. We thank you, and Magnaray for really nice, clean, efficient superior lighting systems.
Oakland City College
Jack TichenorJust a quick note to let you know how pleased we are with the performance of the W9PL units installed last September in our Johnson Center stairwell. The light level produced by these units is superior to that of the incandescent ones removed and they are more than eight times more efficient. That will be a significant cost savings over the life of that building. Energy savings alone would pay the list price for these units only 26 months. The most significant benefit, however, has been labor and material savings on lamp replacement. Since these units are on continually 24 hours per day, lamp replacement on the incandescent units was occurring at three to four week intervals. To date we have not replaced any of the lamps in your W9PL units. If any potential users would like to know how pleased we are with these fixtures. I would be happy to talk to them.
W1PL50EB Mounted to Portable Lighting TrailerAbout the ruggedness issue….our method of attaching the lamps is still in flux. We thought we had it figured. I snugged everything down, hauled the unit out to our ranch (30 miles from our shop). Last 4 miles is bumpy. Last 1/4 mile is pretty rugged. Got home, one of the lamps was missing. Retracted my steps, found it about 3 miles back, it had come off the crossbar at about 30 mph, skidded down the blacktop, then tumbled around a bit in some rocks. The edge around the faceplate was a bit scratched, the plastic cover was totally OK, the light bulb itself was still in place, intact. Hooked it up, everything was fine. In future, lights will probably be transported not attached, with attachment to be done in the field. We have a long and proud history of unintentionally testing things we build in this fashion. I can say we’ve looked far and wide, nothing does the job like your product. Not even close. We don’t suggest everyone try this, but thought you would like to hear what one happy client experienced! Saving Energy and the Environment since 1964 “Quality is never an accident, it is always the result of high intention, sincere effort, intelligent direction and skillful execution; it represents the wise choice of many.”
BF U-Knight Ltd
Charles H Frederickson Jr,One of our main businesses is the wholesale of environmentally friendly products such as recycled rubber mulch and imprintable pens made from cornstarch (instead of plastic) with soy ink. So when we decided to build our office building 7 years ago, we wanted to make the first “green” building privately owned in Westmoreland Country, PA. As a result we chose your light fixtures. We have one spot light on the front of the building, one double fixture parking lot light, one wall fixture in the common hallway and 11 wall fixtures on the outside of the building itself. For less than 290 total watts the building and parking lot are better lit than the building beside us with four 300-watt lights. What’s even more amazing is that we went over six years before we had to change a light bulb, and as of today have only had to change four bulbs. So it should be no surprise that as we embark on an expansion location that we once again are turning to you for exterior lighting. Enclosed please find our purchase order for additional lights.
Disch’s Park Lane Apartments
Debra DischWe just wanted to let you know we have used your #W13PL watt wall packs for over 30 years now, and we are just beginning to replace them with new of the same. They are a true value in today’s market place! General product quality, and really long lamp life have repaid us many times over. The old saying “Quality doesn’t cost, it pays” is very true regarding Magnaray” products. Thanks for building your truly high quality products.
